Battery acquire Beto Avila on loan from Houston Dynamo

The Charleston Battery announced Friday the acquisition of forward Roberto “Beto” Avila on loan from MLS side Houston Dynamo FC, pending league and federation approval. Avila joins the Battery for the remainder of the 2023 season. The 22-year-old forward adds attacking versatility to the Battery as the club approaches the heart of the 2023 USL Championship campaign while atop the Eastern Conference standings.
