Saint-Duc Scores Two in LIFC Victory Over WMU.

March 15, 2019
Using a strong second-half performance, Lansing Ignite FC topped Western Michigan University's men's soccer program 3-0 at the Legacy Center in Brighton, Michigan, on Friday. Selso Saint-Duc scored the go-ahead goal and eventual game-winner in the 64th minute. A trialist scored the second goal in the 75th minute, and Saint-Duc added a third to the scoreboard - assisted by Pato Botello-Faz - two minutes later. "I think the biggest positive, which you can see, is our counter-pressing is becoming a really big feature, which is good," LIFC Head Coach Nate Miller said after the match. "So every week, we get a lot better at it. "The intensity is always there. We've never had a game where we don't bring maximum intensity, which is a club-culture thing, so that's been great. I think there's been many positives, and the key is to have really good film of us competing against a difficult opponent for us to make small adjustments." LIFC improves to 3-1-0 in preseason play, and the team will unveil its final additions to the roster for the 2019 campaign in the coming weeks.
